    Green/blue discharge

So far he hasn't gotten better. He seems to be keeping the same level of activity. Today he has one wing out and it seems like he can't put it back...

    Green/blue discharge

Thanks for the speedy replies. It does look like an injury, but the only thing I can think that might have caused it is possibly a cricket. There's been one in there, but much smaller than the mantid. I moved the mantid while it was on its usual branch just by moving the branch from one tank to...

    Green/blue discharge

I noticed this morning my budwing mantis has a clear blue/green liquid coming from his behind. Ls or instar?

I was talking to another member on Instagram the other day about an image I posted. I stated that a mantis was an L2, and he suggested that it was at 1st instar instead of L2. What is the difference in Ls and instars? what does the L stand for? If you look at the image/discussion, I concluded...

    Hello from Michigan!

Hello! I've heard about this fourm for a while, and decided to join when I picked up my first orchid from a breeder who also frequents the forums (Dmina). I started with a dwarf mantis (can't remember the exact name, and the site I got him from is down) that, unfortunately, only made it to L4. I...
