So these are the mantids that I was talking about in my previous topics that has purple wings and a beautiful Coloration on the Raptorial legs...

I am guessing there are not Hierodula or Tenodera. I think these two are the same Species since both of them have the same color...

First, Here is where I found them :D

I wonder why everytime I put my mantids on the Bonzai tree, they do not react until there is food...

Even one of my previous Hierodula trimaculata does not react...

I took 3 hours to get there by car...

And I will be going to Ranau in October to find Paratoxodera borneana,Rhombodera Basalis and Paratoxodera cornicollis. I've seen the specimen at The Kinabalu Park at Kundasang which is near Ranau...

The markings on the inside of the femur look similar to the markings on the Statilia maculata that I have, however I know this is no sure way of identification

Should be Statilia nemoralis, but it's difficult to confirm without examining the specimens. Statilia is for sure though.

There could be a possibility that it is Statilia maculata since it is native to Asia which is where Borneo is located. Statilia nemoralis is very similar to mine. By The Way, these 2 are still healthy and still taking down enemies ;)
