I like Shields, someday I´ll got some.

Nice comparisions and what a collection

Nice!

I've been taking group shots of mixed species. I'll have to post them sometime. I've been keeping my lone remaining female Violin with the Idolos and they get along fine. I would never trust any species with a female Ghost though. One of mine ate her own gravid sister!

The shields are awesome. Most aggressive species I've kept yet. They grab fingers and anything that moves.

I'm keeping the subadult Idolo with the adult violins. They have no problems with eachother, although I think the violins are a little creeped out (since the Idolo is bigger! The photo I have of the two is a bit of an optical illusion).

Be careful with those Idolo girls in there last molt, it's hardly ever smooth sailing since they are as heavy as a bus and the legs only want to hold up a neon.

It's like a cruel trick mother nature played on them. :( the tinsel strength of there legs is tested.

My gal molted to adult a few days ago, and half a day later fell a short distance(2-3 inches) to the mossy floor with no damage, but she sat on her wings for a few minutes till I seen she was down there, now there a little bent but ok. she could not support her own weight well for a few days. the male was much easier in his last molt in comparison.

I figured I should tell you just so your ready when the time comes. ;)

@Rebecca: That's my secret to pulling straight A's!

@angelofdeathzz: Thanks for the advice! The second female is literally in the middle of shedding right now. The sticks I have in there really seem to work well. I've got a few tricks up my sleeve too for their molt into adulthood B)

Nice collection great pics, when i grow up i wanna be like guapoalto049 :D

Very nice, the shields are so freaking cute!!

Also the Violin looks considerably bigger then your shield. Take some more pics , non optical issusion ones :p

And I hope my Violins molt okay

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

@Ricardo: Here's another photo shoot I had late last year Other pics

. You can see even though the violin is measurably longer than the shield, she's not nearly as stocky.

The Idolos are about 3" now at subadult, I'll try and get a few better pictures. The violins wobble so much its almost impossible to get a non-blurry pic!
