okay, i have two questions.

[1].- how many ooths can a chinease and a carolina lay in thier life time.

[2].- how long until they lay an egg after they mate (chinease and carolina.)

1. In my experience, Chinese lay 4-5 oothecae on the average, while Carolina are between 5 and 7. Fertility/hatch rates typically decrease with each one.

2. Both take around 2-4 weeks from molting into adulthood (when their wings expand) to lay an egg case. Mating does not affect when eggs are laid.

 
Only thing i'd like to add is that there is no set number of ooths laid by mantids. There are many factors that can influence the amount of ooths. I've had mantids of the same species lay anywhere from two to ten ooths.
