Hi, I went outside this morning to let my horses out of the barn and to my surprise I found a male stagmomantis carolina sitting above the door of a stall. Im really surprised to find a mantis in 40 degree weather, exspecialy alive and moving around. It got me wondering how cold of weather can a mantis survive in, it was in the 30s yesterday and theres been a few other nights that have gotten pretty cold lately so there obviously a very hardy species. To bad I cant find any females, just alot of males but I havent even seen another one of this species in a couple of months. Whats the coldest any of you have found a mantis in?
