Acromantis Nymph Size?

Hello everybody, how large are L1 acromantis formosa nymphs, are they around the same size as chinese nymphs?

No, Acromantis hatchlings are smaller than Tenodera. Acromantis Hatchlings are approximately 5mm or only slightly bigger than a Drosophila hydeii fruitfly.

Yes,Chun is right, they are barely a 1/4" long, black and really fast!

Thanks guys, I was debating on whether to buy hydei or melangoster (or however it's spelled), I guess I will go with melan-whatever.

despite their small size they can take d.hydeii as hatchlings. in a couple of moults they will even go for things their own size, i seem to remember them taking greenbottles as early as L3.

In my opinion, I thought acromantis formosana L1 are pretty big. I've never had Chinese so I can't really comment on that. They are pretty aggressive eaters when young and they will attack and eat hydei.
