When i fed FF to my acromantis formosana, i placed a small piece of banana on the bottom(this is to feed the ff, they all die before my babies can eat them).

Insteed of the FF, all my acromantis jumped on it

They all started to suck the sugars of it..

This proves again that mantids DO like frute for the sugarboost.

The funny thing is, that they doesn't eat eachother, no matter how less FF are left.

*for the n00bs: FF = fruteflies

Means they need more water. Mist a little more often. They can sense tiny amounts of moisture even moisture in your skin. Mantids don't naturally seek out banana or any other fruit.

I think they are eating/drinking the liquid (water) and not the sugar :p
Maybe, but can you say for sure? Mantids (including my own) have been known to eat honey if it is offered to them. Bananas may have a far lower sugar content per gram, but they still have a good amount.
