My adult Idolo molted a few days ago and he is starting to get some color. Check him out.

He is lookin nice! He should still get EVEN MORE color if you can believe it!

 
Nice! They don't really eat silkworms though, they like flying pray, the more noise it makes the better! ;)

 
hmmm. I didnt think ANY mantid could refuse a fat wriggling silkworm. A big fat silk moth then, crawling upside downright towards him. DINNER TIME!!!!

 
Yarp, well actually mine will ignore most moths if they aren't flapping wings. They don't really show interest unless the prey appears to be flying. But when mine where younger I could trick them into others bugs.

Sometimes in just 8-10 hours, most will eat in a day or two. Keep in mind adult males don't eat as much as females normally.
