What are some aggressive mantis species that will hunt down their prey? I only have Chinese Mantids and they don't really hunt down their prey. I always find it fascinating watching a praying mantis hunt down their prey.

My giant Asian mantis (Hierodula membranacea) will stalk prey from a considerable distance, if that's what you mean. It's especially fun to see her creeping up on a cup of mealworms, heh.

Sphodromantis lineola, pnigomantis medioconstricta, rhombodera basalis/valida, plistospilota guineensis are pretty awesome hunters. But even small ones like creobroter gemmatus, acromantis, popa spurca aren't lazy
