Hey, I'm Ashley Hochstein.  I'm in west Michigan, originally from Detroit, Michigan. I don't work, as I am disabled and struggle with lupus. 

I totally loved all bugs when I was younger so when I encountered a wild mantis religilosa right before a freeze, I absolutely had to bring him in.  That was Oct 2018.  We currently have have a few species of mantids, and many ghosts that will eventually be a community.

Hey Ashley! Welcome to the forum!

We have a good time in here, discussing mantises and stuff, posting photos, and making connections to acquire mantises, etc. Im sure you'll find it easy to join us in the fun!

Thanks! Here are some of my more recent photos. We currently have 24 mantids, mostly ghosts and spiny adolescents. I love big mantids, but thus far 3 mismolted, and the 2 I recently ordered died from exposure to cold from shipping.
