I'm currently a non-ant bystander, but always wanted to get started. My only problem is I have ten types of insect pets already and about a dozen or more of some of those. Perhaps one day I'll find some space and time to try it.

If I can ever get a queen then I am going to keep ants, but I haven't been able to get a queen. I have seen the nuptial flight once, and that was years ago. 

Meanwhile, I got test tubes waiting for when a queen does show up
