Arizona Bordered Mantis nymphs

I just noticed that some more are hatching right now! So cool. I will never cease to be amazed how the nymphs unfold like origami or Transformers when they hatch.

Yes they are cute. The more you see and learn about mantis the more fascinating they are.

I am moving these nymphs into deli cups from the net cube - wow! It is like herding cats! Sure is a slow going process, lol. I hope the nymphs like their new homes!

Good luck with them, they are neat little guys. Hows the water there? Were you part of the drought??

Yes, Hibiscusmile - It is very droughty over here in recent years. This winter has been a deluge, however - more rain than in recent history. I wonder how it will impact the mantids in this area. 

The nymphs are doing well! They are eating and running around. They are in deli cups, mostly.

Wow, just saw this thread. I live in Los Angeles and they hatched outside in cool weather? or were these diapaused inside? (My S. Limbata nymphs, diapaused outside, didn't hatch until late May from an Ooth laid late Nov.)
