Just some background information:
Astyliasula phyllopus (ex. Hestiasula major)
The Giant Boxer mantis
Unlike the name suggests, this species of mantis is not as massive as one would expect. Adult males and females reach a maximum size of 1.5” in length as adults. This is one of my favorite species of mantises because of their mating “dance” and their bright blue/green ooths.
