Yesterday, one of my little L2 cryptic mantids decided to escape while I was feeding them. I hadn't noticed until a good hour or so later, because there was a molted skin in there, and I mistook it for a nymph when I did my quick count. I felt so bad, because there was no possible way I was going to find a tiny nymph in my cluttered room! But, nonetheless, I've been keeping an eye out for the little guy. And it paid off! I found him this morning, literally a few inches away from his deli cup! I'm so happy I found him!

Glad you found him! I had some escapees from a T. sinensis hatch. a couple of days later they were hanging out on the ceiling lol.

I lost a nymph in my yard and he was green... I found him after like 3mins of intense search in a 2 ft ratios..
Ha, reminds me of that scene in Honey I Shrunk The Kids :)
