I finally found one to get a detailed stack of.
76 images stacked, el nikkor 50mm F/2.8 reversed on 2 sets of extension tubes.

Definitely a different species than mine. Ours are brown and the eyes, mouth and antenna are different.
Indeed it does!Clarity aside (it's excellent), I like the colors from the wings. The neck seems disproportionately slender.
each image has impossibly small DOF, so you take multiple images moving forward a tiny bit between shots and combine them for more DOF.gorgeous. Im amazed with all of the photography on this website.
How do you stack images like that? i dont get it.
The camera does move.....its the only thing that moves infact. I use a linear stage with a micrometerhow do you change your focus without moving your camera (even if it is on a tripode)?, or just the software do the work of align all the pics??
Yes but much better, simpler, and cheaper....is something like this?
