Beetle I.D. Please

I found this beetle crawling in my house. I named it Monkey Wrench. Those mandibles look deadly. It walks like a bulldog. Does anyone know what kind of beetle it is and what does it eat? Does it bite? I may just let it go.

it's a stag beetle

maybe Curecus piceus?

It looks very different from the stag beetles I have seen. It looks like a 먼지벌레 (mon g bullae). I do not know what they are called in English. :blush:

I decided to let it go instead of keeping it as a pet. It looked so cute when it walked. I wanted to handle it but the mandibles were to intimidating.
