Whats the best type of dead leaf mantis to keep?

What's your idea of best?

Easiest: Ghosts (Phyllocrania paradoxa)

Biggest: Deroplatys desiccata

You've also got Decimiana and Acanthops from South America. They are similar looking and I have heard good things about them.

The other three Deroplatys (lobata, truncata, and trigonodera) don't seem to have major differences in care than the desiccata, just different shapes and sizes.

Desiccata. Its a little longer and heavier-built. They are ok in groups too, but God help any crawling insects!

Dessicata, both sexes are large. Male lobatas are pathetic.

iv kept Phyllocrania paradoxa very easy only lost 1 before adult due to one of the females eating her. very very easy

Also Brancsikia! They are really neat, unfortunately nobody keeps them in culture.
