So I finally have two full grown budwing pairs and they are about a week and a half old. The male however seems to have no intentions of breeding with the female. I was wondering how old are their lifespan as adults? I really want them to breed is there anyway to try to get the male to breed with the female? Last time I tried he flutter away into the living room  . Should I just put them in a large 10 gallon tank and hope the female wont eat the male and leave them alone?

Too young wait about a week or so and try again best to try it 2 weeks after their final molts.

What i meant was its been a week and half since their final molt. Sorry if I wasn't clear. I guess I will wait another week before trying again.

Yea, they need a little time, he will be ready soon, but watch em, she will behead him if given a chance.

Need to wait a couple weeks. Older males mate much easier.

Hmmm so I try introducing them again today, the male does not seem to be interested at all of the Female. (I open both of their containers and put them next to each other) I try feeding the female then putting the male next to her but he doesn't jump on or see minterested at all.
