So i put my sphrodomantis gastrica pair together to see if my male was ready to mate. I turned my head for a second and he was already connected. He connected at 12pm and ive been up for two and a half hours feeding the female. Im so tired and i need to go to school tomorrow. I dont want my female to eat my male lol. Could i possible separate them while mating? I doubt it but id rather try and ask.

I read that other sphrodomantis species take 3-8+ hours mating and im honestly suffering. (a nap would feel so good lmao)

Load with feeders and go to sleep... Lol

They will separate when they're done. If you provide plenty of feeders you should be fine.

I ended up going to sleep for 30 minutes and then i had to get up for school. When i got home they were still connected and she never ate him. they stayed connected for 17 hours

When they first connected she ate 10 superworms.
