So I have a grizzled mantis male and a ghost mantis male and I think both of them skipped a molt to become an adult. At least according to my data, because I keep a table for whenever they molt. Should I not use males that skip molts to become adults early in mating? I don't know what it does to them and if it makes them less viable or anything. It seems to me that they would be not as good as males that do the full number of molts.

I have had Carolina mantises and Chinese mantises skip molts to adulthood and they always seemed weaker then ones that didn't skip. I did not mate them.

that seems kinda odd.

Try attempting to mate one of your less 'precious' (ik they r all precious but i mean one that is more common) like a male chinese. Then see what happens

I dont think it should be an issue tho
