Brother Found a Mantis

Just when i thought i was done with mantids cuz my nymph died and i couldnt find any more cheaper ooths my brother just found a mantis.

Its about maybe 2 1/2 - 3 inches big.

Im feeling kinda bad though it keeps trying to get out.

Anyone think after i get him some food he will hang out more often rather then keep clawing at the openings of the cage i have him in?

I've found that wild caught mantids will try to get out much more often then captive bred ones. It should not do it as often after awhile.

Well I can tell you its a male and boy is it -_-.

It just fluttered its wings at me so i left him alone. I have to get a lid for a tank i have. At the moment i have him in a semi large plastic tub with a few large air holes.

Im going to a pet store in like a half an hour to get crickets and such for my lizzard and him.

Ill take some pics and put em up as soon as i get my camera back.

Isn't it worse for a mantid if it's wild and kept captive?

I dunno about that much.

Im just worried because it can fly -_-.

If it flies out then... I dunno but it may cause to be a problem.
