When I first got some, I was under the impression that they wouldn't cannabalize because they like smaller food.

Boy, was I wrong.

They shouldn't get weaker through the generation. Otherwise they'd be extinct. They reproduce parthogenetically, so obviously the genes of only one mantis have ever been passed on.

I've heard that they have trouble taking down certain prey.
