We received several awesome species in this week! Brunneria, Pantherina, D. Truncata, am ooth I am not going to divulge as I am not wanting to jinx anything, and we got a shipment of Black Beauty stick insects! Though my already heavy load of 3 hours a day of maintenance will be longer now....my heart is full.
We woke this morning to an ooth from our Brunneria Borealis mantis!!! A few days ago my pet mantis Serena, got her wings. And this morning 2 more got their wings! We have raised them since they hatched so we are a bit attached to them. Well, maybe more than a bit!
And.....our momma bark is STILL laying FERTILIZED eggs! We got her and another female through this forum and we got 2 ooths. En route she laid another ooth. And has laid 4 more since arriving. The last one got accidentally misplaced by my dogs tail and I must admit, I cried for days when I could not find it. So to date, she has laid 5 and aside from the one I no longer have, each ooth has produced babies. I think that is amazing as we have had her for about 2 months now. Aside from the nymphs being delicate prior to their first molt, this is a species I have come to love!!!
I suck as a participant as I don't have as much time to chat in the forums as I would like. But I am forever grateful to have as place to ask questions and share in the joys and heartaches of these beautiful creatures!
