Can L4 nymphs survive VERY heavy rains outside?

The rain is VERY VERY heavy.

Before we all put them in tanks and delis to be cared for like little kings and queens I think mantis lived outdoors? it's just out there it's survival of the fittest, they should be fine if they have appropriate cover like the under side of a leaf, etc.

I had three chinese ooths hatched during the thunderstorm. They were L1! Yes, they'll instinctively find a place to hide.

No, all mantids of that instar die when it rains. Just kidding. They should be fine.

A few springs ago we had alot of rain in April and May the first week of june,there was Chinese at least L3,I thought they had done well
