I saw that my female C. vittatus was not making her usual strolls around her enclosure, so I looked under the small flower pot that she uses as a hide (just to make sure she isn't dead) and low and behold she has little monkeys crawling on her back (babies).

Before today I thought "So I guess that the pairing worked?" But now it's pretty obvious that it did work.

Now, I hope she doesn't eat them

Little update:

She has not eaten her babies. The last time she gave birth and a lot of her offspring were underdeveloped, so there was only one baby on her back. The baby didn't survive the night. I found no trace of that one baby so I asume that she ate him/her. But his/her sacrifice was not in vain.

Sweet! That is a nice surprise, and I'm glad to hear she is doing fine with her babies this time. Best of luck. :)

Glad you got your scorpions to reproduce successfully, I just had my female Tigrosa helluo give birth as well, it's funny how the babies lay around on the mom's back :D
