Its a female, you can tell with D.lobata because the shield curves at the bottom, and also you need to look at the segments UNDERNEATH a mantis to sex it.

There is a bunch of segments bunched up at the end! Males have that too, ive had both in the previous years.

There is 8 segments, when their subadults it doesn't make a big difference to look from the top

Ps: I don't want to have an argument, just a friendly debate

Heres an old sub adult female i had way back. As you can see there are a bunch of small segments on the left (topside), whilst on the right (underside) there is the one large one of a female. The males are much narrower than the females, here are my old sub adult female below and the male below her.
