Dead ooth :(

It seemed the ventilation and humidity didn't suite the gongy ooth. There are small green pores over portions of it and I have accepted this must be some sort of harmful fungus. I don't know how it happened but it did. Any chance I can salvage some of them?

All that remains of my arthropods is my one armed Godfrey. He lost his arm some time last night and Im not sure how.

Some people say mist the ooth directly, I never do. I know it rains on them in the wild but there is also wind and sun out there. misting every other day with out soaking everything is best if you ask me, the mold may dissipate if you let it dry out for a day or two, and you may still get some nymphs?

sometimes less is better, once it dries out you might try scraping the mold off gently.

I am not going to recommend this. But you might want to do some research and see how you feel about it yourself. I have heard it suggested that a dip in diluted bleach can kill the fungus but won't kill the nymphs inside if it's quick and diluted the right amount.

Most say to rince it off as best you can, cut out the inside of the lid and replace with a fine cloth, coffee filter or nylon for air circulation, if inside alive they may have a chance.

Rinse it off? Really? Do you think you could tell me the process of rinsing it I don't want to damage it further...

Just rinsing under warm water for few seconds won't hurt it. Then set it where it is warm to dry off and reattach, I would not mist it for a couple days though.
