Deformed wings, is it too late?

I was pleased to wake up this morning, check on my bugs, and see that my Peruvian shield mantis was molting. Everything went perfectly, except for his wings. They're very deformed. I misted his enclosure the night before, was there anything else I could've done? Is it over, or does he still need time? I misted around him gently after taking this picture. I'm kinda bummed out.

Unfortunately, his wings will most likely remain crumpled. It doesn't usually affect overall health. It can happen under the best of conditions, so don't let it get you down.

Ditto, they will stay that way. Doesn't make it any more less of a mantis though.

It sucks yeah, especially when they're male and can't fly. At the same time though, it's a unique if not goofy feature on him now. My own H. majuscula girl had funky wings and I learned to love them. Maybe you will too.

He should still be able to mate. It happens to the best of us. The good thing about a male with wrinkled wings is he won’t get injured from flying. Don’t get too down on yourself. This is just a little bump on the way to achieving your goal.
