A female diabolica molted last Sunday. They're so gorgeous! Right after they leave the old skin, the wings are almost all white in appearance as if they are wearing a bridal dress or a white wizard's cloak. It's been about 3 1/2 days and she is almost green. In this image it show her turned upward, so her wings could unfurl. It's like watching the curtains come down after a stage show, and a fantastic one at that. I sat there for 5 hours in awe as she went through this incredible transformation into the final stage of an adult.

Beautiful, dude! So glad you got to watch it happen. I love how they have that light orange/pink creamsicle tone as they molt.

 
fantastic.

I would not mind them one day. too bad they are super rare in the US right now.
