So as you guys may know, Monarch Butterflies need to migrate for winter. So there for Monarch butterflies eclosing in late fall have a longer life span (9 months) than monarchs eclosing in Spring (3 weeks). So I have about 30 adult Monarch butterflies and I am keeping them in a 5 foot by 5 foot by 8 foot screen cage outside in my garage to simulate winter. So they know they need to migrate now and are getting antsy. So this is what I did. I put each individual inside my fridge in a large storage container. They are now sleeping and will sleep until June or April. Whatever I am doing seems to be working!!! So yay!!! Let me know if you can follow this. I might take some pictures later. I will keep you guys updated.

Sounds Cool! maybe if you put a plant in their enclosure they'll lay eggs in the spring...
