He molted to adult sometime in june-may and is now on the verge of dying of old age. He seems to be suffering, and I want to end it quickly. He didn't get a chance to mate, which is sad, because my female is healthy and an adult now. Should I feed him to her?

as long as it is dying of old age and not disease, I say go for it. And sorry about him dying :(

If it's age, all systems go! It's then a matter of personal preference. If it's disease, don't use it to feed another mantid. The disease may transfer, or the mantis eating it may die of bad insect organs.

Sorry, Nicolas, I feel it is so hard to see everyone of them go.... He had great care to make it through adulthood :)
