Just read today about the brunners mantis ooth and wonder if any of this is true

The ootheca of this species will take a long time to hatch. It could take as long as 3-5 months for the first nymph to emerge. It will continue to hatch over a period of 6-10 months.

 
Yes. They can also take longer than 3-5 months to start hatching. But, if given a diapause it seems all of this may be shortened. I often wonder how these hatch in the wild given they only have a limited amount of time to mature and lay eggs. At least they do in my area.

 
Yes they do take a while, mines been sitting here for almost two months. I thought i saw something beginning to hatch, but it was just my imagination :p
