i have two questions about chinese ooths

this is my first season

(1). when spraying with water do i spray ooth directly?

(2). dose a chinese mantis ooth need to go through a overwinterwing period and if so how long?

Don't worry about it too much, I left mine in a closet by accident, and I went to get my jacket and found hundreds of nymphs crawling on it.

1)Does not change much if you do, you will get same results as spraying it indirectly.

2)they can be put outside or in a fridge, but they don't require a diapause.
