I took some photos of my current mantids yesterday and today. Caitriona and Ailbhe don't pose for the camera very well, but that's the breaks I guess... Deirdre always holds still in the exact position I want her in. :) The first four are Deirdre, the next two are Ailbhe, and the last two are Caitriona.

Thanks everyone! Maybe I will think about submitting a photo, Tammy :) I'd have to get a really good photo in order to think about doing that though... ;)

All are beautiful photos.

My favorite is the first one of Caitriona. I don't see many mantid photos with that lovely pose. So cute! <3

you have some really nice mantids Wolfpuppy..the photos you have taken of them are great

I took some more photos a few days ago :) The first three are of Deirdre:

Here's one of my bessbugs (Odontotaenius disjunctus). Notice she's covered in mites - this is normal :)

Here's a feeder cricket. I was surprised at how dusty it was. Must be the oatmeal. They don't look dusty to my eyes.

And here are three ooths - S. limbata, I. oratoria, and M. religiosa. They aren't quite as dark in real life as they are in the photo.
