I'm new. I live in NC and have a pod I'm going to hatch soon and Tareaum but I am at school I will give the size later on when I'm home
but I want to know if the crickets and mealworms at pet smart are ok feed if thay are I will breed them for feed
all so if you can feed nymphs meal worms I have a limited supply of money about 15$ and any money-saving tips welcome. Thank you.

Better not giving crickets to your mantids. They can carry parasites or disaeses. Better use flies, grasshoppers or roaches.

New hatched mantids you can give Drosophila melanogaster fruitflies
 
ok, thanks I'll save for roaches but iv got fruit flys. the nymph should hach tomorrow. I've been wanting for forever T.T thank for helping.
 
fruit flies for smaller mantis, (you can buy them from some pet shops or online), locusts are also a great feeder, wax moths (there are tutorials online on how to set up a wax worm enclosure). i wouldnt recommend feeding meal worms, feeding them the guts if they refuse to eat anything else is okay but they struggle to digest the hard shell
