First Ooth

And we have an ooth! Greta the deepest-green ghost has laid her first ooth, a couple days after an evening with her male suitor. I've paired him with two other ghost girls as well and he connected with them too. I had five ladies, including one whose wings dried puffy, but her sister apparently got a little hungry. :/ I've not paired Miss Ravenous up yet because I only have the one male, though since he's visited the other three already I might.

I don't know if my creos actually connected, but my male survived the encounter. I'm going to try pairing them up again in a couple days to give that another try.

I know, common species, but this is the first time I've tried breeding mantids, so I'm excited nevertheless!

That is so exciting. The whole process mating process is so nerveracking lol. Congrats on the first ooth.I hope you have a great hatch

Yeah but i dont think its as bad as some of the larger molts
