I have an ooth that is probably going to hatch relatively soon. How long does it usually take? What should I feed the little guys when they are so small? Does anyone know a good website where I can get fruitflys and little insects...crickets I can always get at the local pet store. Any help would be great...and I will probably soon be looking for a more advanced kind of mantis...any suggestions?

thanks all...best,

Michael

Some of the most common ooths take 4-6 weeks to hatch. The best food for newborn nymphs are fruitflies. Get them going now before the ooth hatches.

edsflymeat.com, order small FF, and large FF as the freight is the biggest part of it. then on another order get media and extra containers. you can get the wood spagetti at walmart in the flower section. try to have the flies before hatch. in a pinch petco or petsmart sell little fly containers, but it will cost you.
