This is what happens when you get too cute and cuddly face to face with your mantis.
Yeah, they move their legs forward a bit, and they get that look in their eye...After a while you start to learn to read when they are getting ready so you can catch it before it happens.
You laugh now, but one day when you wake up on the floor and there is a mantis crawling off your face, you will see just how dangerous these face huggers can be.Face huggers. xDD Bahaha. <3
The funniest thing is when you see they are going to do it and move back, but they try anyways and epically missing their mark. Silly little bugs. :tt2:Yeah, they move their legs forward a bit, and they get that look in their eye...

They jump often if need be. Some females will fly before getting heavy with eggs.I'm glad you guys enjoyed it. I always thought that adult females would rarely ever jump or fly, but apparently if they really need to get somewhere out of reach, they will. Funny story Rick although I hope the kid doesn't go smashing every mantis he sees.
If you slow down the video or pause it, the hop looks actually pretty cool.
I'm with you on this one.Hahaha i suspect that happens pretty often
I would be too afraid to move... afraid for the mantis, though
What if i blink and crush a tarsus?
