For sale or trade: Popa spurca nymphs, AKA African stick mantises. These guy are really amazing - it's almost eerie how much they look like bits of dead wood. Even their eyes have the rough look of tree bark. On the back-end of one of these mantises there's a light tan colored mark that looks EXACTLY like the weathered end of a broken stick. They're really a tribute to the wonders that natural selection can produce. Besides being amazing to look at, they're also a nice big species mantis, with the females growing to a little over three inches.

On top of all this, in my limited experience these guys are very easy to breed; I had one male and three females, and though I'd never bred mantises before, all three of my females were successfully fertilized by my single little dude, who died of old age after a long and adventurous life. The end result of this was that I ended up with lots and lots of ooths (females are still laying more!) which resulted in lots and lots of nymphs.

SO, I've got well over 100 of these little guys who are in need of homes, and I expect more will hatch very soon.

Prices for L2 Popa spurca nymphs: $2 each, 10 for $15, or 20 for $25. I STILL HAVE LIKE MORE THAN 100 OF THESE LITTLE GUYS, SO THEY ARE NOW $1 EACH. Shipping is $10 priority, $25 for express. If the weather continues to be godawful, I will include a cold pack free of charge.

Trades: I'm also considering trade offers for other mantises, supplies (deil cups and lids, etc) and feeders (mold-free ff cultures, house flies and blue bottles).

I am located in Ohio. Check out my breeder feedback - I'll treat you right.

I don't want to risk shipping internationally, sorry.

I think I'm about out of L2s now, but I've got about another 100 L1s left that should be ready to ship within a week or so.

Had *another* oothe hatch (at least that was the last one I had, lol, though I've still got two laying females >_>) I'm absolutely overrun, so these guys are $1 each.
