I don't get it. What's happening?

There's nothing to get really. It's just a picture of ants in a tube starting a new colony. I caught 2 queens and 18 workers and they are doing ok. I already see eggs and 1 pupa.

we are breeding red barbed ants at my zoo currently the workers are just starting to emerge great little things.
