Chick mismolted while I was away. She can move around and will eat. I was worried it will eat but not be able to eliminate waste and die slowly. I have no problem babying this thing if that's what it's gonna take, I just don't want it to suffer.

Any update? It's hard to see in the picture if there's any actual damage to the abdomen, but if it really is only the legs and the wings, which is what I can see, then she should be okay. The wings aren't needed for a captive mantid and they can adjust to the legs over time. I hope she ended up making it!
