the end of the female's abdomen is a prominent spike, while the male has a very short blunt last segment

my pair mated today

the male hopped on immediately and they stayed connected for about 2 hours

the female doesnt like food much larger than a bottlefly

i offerred her some craneflies and she freaked out

it seems like males of this species only persist for 4 or 5 weeks
