I'm back again! Was out for a month due to a pretty bad infection in my leg from recent surgery.

Anyway. I have the two following species for sale:

Ghosts at L2 (will ship in two weeks)

$12 each

or

$100 for 10

or

$180 for 20

Have about 60 available that my fiancee was swamped with while I was away, need these gone! If interested in all 60 please let me know.

Wide arms at L2 (also in two weeks), only 20 available

$9 each

or

$80 for 10

or

$100 for 20

Shipping is $7.50 priority or $20 express.

Let me know!

Will the wide arms be L2 in two weeks or are they L2 now? I'd be interested if they are a little older. I don't like ordering L1s or L2s this time of year in PA.

They're in L2 now, i'm just waiting on my shipping containers to arrive.

Thanks

Bump

Half of the ghosts are already spoken for. Shipping time is scheduled for next Wednesday so be on the look out for a tracking number!!

Big thank you for those of you who've purchased

A friendly reminder. Those who still want mantids, I have plenty still. Shipping is still scheduled for tomorrow!!

Thanks

Hello,

I am interested in purchasing some of your Ghost Mantids. Sent you a PM.

Thanks,

Has anyone heard from Villosa recently? I sent him money for four ghosts plus express shipping and haven't heard from him once since. I've tried pm'ing him a few times with no response. I really hope he is just away for the holidays or something.

Been pm'ing him as well about making a purchase for about a week and a half or so to no avail either. I too hope all is well on his end, as he started out with excellent communication above average customer service type rapport but no word at all from him lately.

Same from me.--sent money about a week ago for some ghosts and shipping, and been sending him PMs--nothing.

Looks like I am in the same situation. I paid him for 4 ghost mantids about two weeks ago, and have not heard back from him. I hope he responds soon to all of his customers.

I feel some obligation to make a post here, since the community is being called into question.

When Villosa posted his for sale ad, I contacted him and asked him if he was caught up on his previous customers. He assured me that he was.

I trust that he does have the bugs. I would also like to point out that for many people, today (Monday) is actually the first day of business since last Wednesday, so it's not inconceiveable that you wouldn't hear from somebody since then (not to mention that many people travel on holidays). Also, if black Friday is a "business day", it's a very bad day to ship live mantises.

That he hasn't replied yet is a point that might go into your account of his breeder feedback when your order is complete, however if he's been passing out turkey to homeless people for the last few days, we might feel a bit bad about marching up to his door with torches and pitch forks so quickly.

Questionable record, yes. Time to pass judgment on the last week of business? Not quite yet.

For the record, dealers that do not uphold their end of the transaction will not be allowed to sell through this website. However, my experience with Villosa suggests that he will show up here a bit later than everybody would like and will make good on his transactions. If not, I'd personally appreciate updates of the situation via PM. Let's hold further comments until the end of the week.

Of course, we all tend to get what we deserve and deserve what we get. Cause and effect...

I'm a few weeks behind on emails too, so I better run along...(though I shipped out to my customers today INSTEAD of answering a billion bug questions).

You're very right, Peter. I have revised my negative feedback of him and will give him the benefit of the doubt being that it was the day before Thanksgiving that he received my payment. All that I am asking from him is the common courtesy of letting me know he's got my payment and giving me a date that he is planning to ship. The only reason I jumped to conclusions is that others have had the same experience I have had and it does appear as if he is taking my money. However, if he does come through I will offer him an apology.

Well, I too agree with Peter. I wrote some where I believe a reply to a pm or something, I have read the posts on his past issues and they seem to have more to do with miscommunication rather that just outright deceitful behaviour. i believe in giving a person a chance to prove themselves before I decide to throw them to the wolves. I have to admit there are times when I get really tied up with the daily business of regular life and often don't get a chance to just sit down and catch up on email. Even in business this can happen. So, I will give Michael Kuo a chance to respond soon and go from there. If this is truly just a time related thing it would be a shame to push this along to totally tarnishing his track record here at the forum. I really dig the members here and the one thing I have learned since I joined back in 2004 is the majority of members are really good caring people. Heck, just look at what we choose as a hobby or just as our pets!!! I don't personally know anyone else in my community who are even remotely interested in mantids, reptiles or any other non traditional pet type species (for lack of a better description)!! So, I believe he said he is an upcoming entomologist and uses this to fund some of his research. Last time I checked it's really difficult to get funding for almost any project so, if he is genuine I really admire what he is trying to accomplish. So, let's just give him a chance to catch up first, or at least hear him out and Then we can decide how to proceed from there!! ;)

Cheers!!

I've sent Villosa a "purposeful" PM. I will let you know if he replies to me with a status update. Obviously, the forum has some responsibility to follow up on situations like this...and I'm doing so!

Still haven't heard a word from him. Has anyone else?

No reply. I'd be contacting PayPal at this point, were I a customer.

No public member bashing here, please. Feel free to update your latest experiences in his breeder feedback section. And feel free to update me with any new information regarding your orders with him. That way I can make the right decision when he does show up here again trying to sell something.

Well, I just did.(opened a dispute with paypal) I paid him about two weeks ago, and no contact yet. I have had computer problems in the past, and been unable to respond to buyers for a few days (and felt very anxious about it the whole time), but I think sending $187.50 for 20 ghosts and getting not response for two weeks is a bit much. Surely he would have had access to some other computer or found a way to notify all buyers of what is going on by now--regardless of what the problem is.

I agree, there is no excuse for not at least letting his buyers know what is going on. I also have filed a dispute with paypal. At this point I would just like my money back so I can buy from a reputable dealer. I will still be happy to get the mantids, though.
