Hi,

i will be going to Antigua in a couple of weeks for a week. is there any wild mantids there? should i try to find some? is there any particular regulation?

same question for mauritius, but i'm going later in the year.

thanks in advance!

yOu can't lose by trying. Who knows what you will find, you can also try this site and check out some of the locations where you will be and see what is found there.

well i'm back from antigua now. i didn't see any matids, but i'm sure there must be some!

how would i go about catching them ?

next stop mauritius and hopefully i'll find some there!

There aren't many species on Mauritius, maybe 2 or three. Paramantis prasina should occur there, Miomantis paykullii (probably introduced), and maybe some Polyspilota species.
