These ones look good. When i find them in june they all have parasites. This is the time of year when they were recently layed though. I usually find more ooths than live griseas.

Ya, so far 3 oothe have hatched and more are probably close to hatching. Didn't see any live grisea in the place where I was collecting probably because it got super cold.

Thank you I ended up with 70 ish nymphs, but lost half of the culture. The remaining half seems to be doing well though (or so it seems)

Unfortunately, out of 70 nymphs that hatched majority of them died while I was transporting them from my parent's house to off-campus apartment I stay in They seem to like squeezing through cracks and end up getting trapped and exhaust themselves to death.

Little update on these guys. I sent a bunch of them to my friend for trade, and sold around 40 nymphs to another person.

Kept 15 nymphs from first batch for myself, which has turned into L2 now.

Also had another ootheca hatch so I have somewhere around 20 first instars.

Glad to see they did indeed hatch for you. They do seem slow to grow, but a few more molts and they will be at least much bigger (as I read they get to be 36-40mm (1.5")).

Sorry to hear about the paper towel transport problem. I had the same issue myself sadly, so I tried shredded paper used for packing (much like excelsior) but find a bare incubation container seems to do just fine.

Ya, I've collected both adults and large nymphs before and were quite surprised at their size. Hopefully I'll be able to raise these guys to adulthood

Shredded paper sounds like its worth a try. I might try that someday
