Just wondering if anybody has ever had an adult male green ghost before, or has ever seen one? I have only had females that were green as nymphs, and adults. I have yet to see an adult male that is green. If anybody has a pic that would great!

I haven't either. I wonder if the green color morph is controlled by a certain gene/s... like male pattern baldness in humans, only exhibited by females in this case.

Never... although I have slightly greenish pre-sub males now. But it is basically impossible to get a male as green as a female can be.

I currently have a L4 male right now that is pretty green. I was hopeing he would stay that way. I guess i'll just have to keep my fingers crossed :) .

I was asking around for some green ghost, its good to know that there isn't alot of green males around. Cool thanks for the post, ismart and Kruszakus can you post a pic of your green male?.

So your the one who planted this thought in my head ;) . I'll try and post a pic later when i'm home from work.

Well, so much for posting a pic of my L4 green male. He has now moulted to L5 and is a light tan color. Don't get me wrong i'm glad he moulted out okay, but i was really hopeing he would stay green :( . Maybe some of the other males will turn green if i'm extreamly lucky.

Well, sorry to hear your male "browned up." :( I do wonder if anyone worldwide has ever had a green adult male. I'm thinking probably not... but you never know! ;) Hey, try this Paul.... Put him in a cage by himself next to another P. paradoxa male who has unlimited tasty selections of food, and is having the time of his life with a really cute green female P. paradoxa. Maybe the jealousy will help! :p

It looks a bit greener in real life, but still...

Very nice Kruszakus! I really hope he stays that color when he turnes adult. I'm trying to raise the humidity on some of my males and hopeing for the best.
