They can sometimes change to match their surrounding when they molt. i have a sub creo who is lighter and a little yellowish because he is kept in a lighter environment than his siblings.

I know. I had some from Kiet too. Some were green at certain stages but none lasting into adult suggesting it's more random than genetic.
