Gut loading flies

Hey! Sorry for all the threads I've been making lately, just realized that I have a lot to learn about mantis keeping.

So I've seen that a few people will gut load their feeders with gecko food - but I don't have one and don't know much about their food at all. Is there something else I can use? Currently two of my feeders are in "fly jail" with some honey, water, and isopod feed. Would it be better to just buy gecko food? If so, what kind should I get?

(edit) Also, how long should I keep them in fly jail to get all nutritious?

I’ve never tried gecko food, but honey and fruit do pretty well for me.
