H. Coronatis mating problems

Every time I try mate my H. Coronatus pair they spend atleast a day together and never connect. The male curls his abdomen round but on top of her wing case and the female doesn't help him.

The female molted on the 20th April and the male molted on the 7th may. Am I trying too early?

they say to wait till she is 6 weeks old, it may be a little early, also a lot of time the male will sit there for a day or so before mating. Give it another week and try again.

The female is not going to help, lol. If he just sits there blow a quick breath at him which sometimes will make him start doing something. I would try again in a few days. I've had these sit on the females back for a long time before starting to mate.

They finally connected the other day . Fingers crossed she'll lay any time soon
