Hello fellow Mantis lovers! I'm Grace. My husband Ryan and I love Mantids and recently decided to get back into raising them. We've had mantises as pets in the past, mostly Chinese as they are easily accessible, but we are so excited to learn and keep different species.

Currently, we are raising Phyllocrania Paradoxa and Hymenopus Coronatus. We hope to try breeding them as well, though this is will be a new endeavor for us. I joined to help learn all I can to give my sweet babies the best home possible and maybe make some friends, too! Any advice is appreciated

Welcome to the forum! I raise ghosts too, so if you have any questions, just ask! Breeding ghosts is really easy.

Thanks! I've heard Ghosts are easy to breed, but I'm sure I'll have loads of questions when the time comes. When my current lot get closer to adult I will probably reach out for help. Ghosts are super fun to raise and I'm looking forward to breeding!

I'm excited and learning so much every day. Thanks for all the well wishes

Thanks all! Here is a picture of one of my Orchids, Her name is Ingrid ❤

That is one of the prettiest orchids I’ve ever seen! She’s really pink, makes me kind of jealous ? (just kidding)

I’ve currently got two males and a female. They really are an amazing breed. And personally, they aren’t anywhere near as hard as many caresheets say they are.

Nice! Are they in the same instar?

I fully agree with you. I fell in love with mine the instant I unboxed them. I hope to breed them one day and help spread their awesomeness to others.

It's possible people stress the difficulty to make sure new orchid owners know that you need to keep the environment in the appropriate RH and temp range. I was definitely intimidated by all the hype! It may be a good thing, as it made me ensure I had the ability to keep them warm, humid enough while still getting them fresh air, etc, *before* I got them.

Overall, I have found them to not be as difficult as people say, but again, I went into it assuming it would be quite hard.
